From Tübingen to the Rockies

Once the youngest professor of anesthesiology in Germany, Dr. Eckle has spent close to two decades at the University of Colorado building a research program on hypoxia and circadian rhythm biology — a field recently recognized with a Nobel Prize in Medicine. He now leads faculty and provider development for the Department of Anesthesiology, supervising more than 130 CRNAs and Anesthesia Assistants and directing the department's Grand Rounds program, alongside a clinical practice spanning general, obstetric, transplant, and acute trauma anesthesia.
